House Locke is up for a regional RIBA Award

We are delighted that House Locke has been shortlisted for the 2024 RIBA South East Awards under submission by McLean Quinlan architects (Downland Barns).

It was a pleasure to collaborate with McLean Quinlan, providing the sustainability data necessary for the submission. The house's low level of embedded carbon, achieved through the use of natural, sustainable materials, is noteworthy. Baufritz’s manufacturing process, known for its favourable airtightness values, combined with various low-energy features, has resulted in House Locke receiving an EPC rating of A, the highest possible. This achievement is particularly noteworthy given the size of the property, and it underscores RIBA's emphasis on sustainability in their judging criteria.
