Office Manager / Office Administrator

Location: Cambridge, UK 
Contract: Full-time 
 
Baufritz is seeking a highly organised and proactive Office Manager / Office Administrator to support our growing UK branch in Cambridge. 

The Role

As the central point of coordination within our Cambridge office, you will:

  • Act as the first point of contact for the office, handling incoming calls and emails professionally and ensuring excellent customer service at all times.
  • Manage and qualify incoming sales enquiries and provide administrative support to the sales team.
  • Serve as the primary contact for after-sales service enquiries in the UK, coordinating next steps including appointment scheduling and material deliveries.
  • Oversee full office administration, including office supplies, postal services, shipping and general organisation.
  • Coordinate facility management, warehouse administration and company fleet matters.
  • Organise internal and external meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, and create professional presentations and documentation.
  • Coordinate training courses and certifications, maintaining accurate administrative records of all training activities.
  • Provide executive support to the Managing Director, including diary management, travel arrangements, meeting preparation and general day-to-day administrative assistance. 

About You

  • You have completed relevant commercial or business administration training and have proven experience in office management or a similar administrative role.
  • You are highly organised, self-motivated and able to manage a varied workload independently.
  • You communicate confidently and professionally with clients, colleagues and external partners.
  • You demonstrate a structured and solution-focused approach to your work.
  • You enjoy working with customers and building positive professional relationships.
  • You have excellent written and spoken English.
  • German language skills would be advantageous but are not essential.

Project Manager / Construction Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Construction Manager to oversee the delivery of our turnkey timber frame housing projects across the United Kingdom, primarily in the Greater London and Cambridge areas, as well as the Channel Islands. 

The Role

  • Take full responsibility for the successful delivery of construction projects within your designated region.
  • Ensure all works are completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
  • Coordinate and supervise all on-site activities, from initial access inspections through to final account settlement.
  • Act as the main point of contact for our clients from the house erection date onwards.
  • Lead and coordinate subcontractors and partner companies working on site.
  • Prepare cost estimates, quotations and variation orders.
  • Work closely with our logistics team to manage materials, stock levels and site setup.
  • Provide support and act as a key contact for our installation teams in England.

About You

  • Ideally qualified through a trade background with further training as a Construction Technician or Master Craftsman, or hold a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with a confident and professional manner.
  • Well organised, self-motivated and solution-oriented.
  • Several years’ experience in construction and/or project management, ideally within turnkey timber frame or timber housing projects.
  • Enjoy working closely with clients and subcontractors.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • German language skills would be advantageous.
