Excellent sustainability credentials: Baufritz’s HOIZ insulation recognised by Cradle to Cradle Certified®
At Baufritz, we have set a new benchmark when it comes to healthy, sustainable products: Our HOIZ insulation material made with wood shavings has been awarded C2C Certified® Circularity Platinum and C2C Certified® Material Health Gold by the official Cradle to Cradle Certified® programme.
This independent certification proves that our insulation material fulfils stringent criteria for material health and product circularity.
The C2C Certified® Material Health category assesses the impact of products on humans and the environment and promotes safe materials.
The C2C Certified® Circularity category evaluates how well materials are suited to biological or technical cycles and can be reused, recycled or composted.
HOIZ is made with wood shavings from spruce, fir, and pine trees sourced as a by-product from nearby sawmills and processed in Baufritz’s factory in Erkheim, South Germany. The shavings are impregnated with natural soda for lasting protection and are ideal for use in roofs, ceilings, and walls.
