We are very pleased that we have been able to enlist the renowned Suisse designer Alfredo Haeberli for the design of our new show home at the Baufritz headquarters in Erkheim.
Alfredo Häberli was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1964. He moved to Switzerland in 1977 and graduated in 1991 with distinction in Industrial Design at the "Höhere Schule für Gestaltung" in Zurich.
Today, he is an internationally established designer based in Zurich and is working for some of the leading companies of the international design industry such as Alias, BD Barcelona, Camper, FSB, Georg Jensen, Iittala, Kvadrat, Luceplan, Moroso, Schiffini and Vitra. His designs manage to unite tradition with innovation, joy and energy and his work is strongly influenced by his early childhood in Argentina as well as his curiosity and studies of everyday life. The results are works that are highly expressive and emotive.
Company owner Dagmar Fritz-Kramer says about the new show home: "It is a glamorous, modern building, yet promises homely living "with a soul". The base concepts of Bauhaus style have been applied, but not copied. A special challenge lay for example in creating multifunctional rooms to alternatively meet or retreat to. I won't say more just yet…"
From the 1st of October "Haussicht by Alfredo Haeberli" can be visited in Erkheim.
