The German Federal President, Joachim Gauck, will on the 7th and 8th of June 2016 host together with the German Federal Environment Foundation (DBU) the 5th "Environment Week" in the parkland of Bellevue Castle, carrying on the tradition of a unique environmental exhibition. We are more than pleased to have been chosen from over 600 applicants through an independent committee appointed by the Federal President's office to present our company's work at this year's event.
Around 190 partners of the DBU and institutions from the world of business, science, society, politics and the media will exhibit their innovative projects on this year's environment and sustainability topics: climate protection, energy, resources, land usage and biodiversity, mobility and transport, construction and living will all be topics within the walls of the residence of the Federal President. The project presentations held will offer the invited experts insights into the variety of new environmentally friendly technologies, products, services and concepts out there, with which to create our future responsibly.
In parallel to the exhibition there will be a high profile and varied program of talks and discussions. On the main stage top representatives from politics, the economy, science and society will take part in panel discussions around the main topics of the show and, amongst others, show the latest trends following questions such as:
- What framework for action is being offered by planetary boundaries?
- How can the energy revolution continue?
- How can circular processes be created and how best to provide funding for top-notch innovation.
- What specific visions are there for sustainable urban living?
- How do we want to deal with the competition for the usage of land and how do we achieve resource-friendly land usage?
- How can we strengthen the public's readiness for change for big transformations?
In addition, yet more detailed discussions will take place in around 70 – 80 expert panels, looking at current sustainability topics with around 400 experts. The exhibition and its high-profile and varied program expects to attract 12.000 invited guests from politics, business, society and the media.
