"The red Scandinavian-style residence offers joie de vivre and plenty of space for a family of four. The gable glazing and a covered loggia as well as the circular windows on the ground floor are striking architectural details. A special foldable sliding door opens the dining room onto the covered terrace and impressively extends the room. In this way the terrace becomes an extended part of the dining and kitchen area. This provides an amazing amount of space for celebrating with whole crowds of friends. The interior is very natural and exudes a cosy atmosphere. Another highlight is that on the ground floor the living areas can be variably opened and closed by smooth-sliding walls - for extra everyday comfort. "

Scandinavian energy-efficient house from Southern Germany

Modern fittings, Swedish touch and 37 cm thick external walls - this is the Baufritz house in the Allgäu.

The house designer of the Allgäu wooden house company designed a family house with a very special aura. The desires of future owners played a crucial role. Easy to clean, low maintenance, family-friendly, healthy living, and above all, energy-efficient at an attractive price - these attributes were to be met. The house design was also carried out in close consultation with the client. The trend towards modern design was kept, while its Scandinavian origins are very much on show.

With approximately 134 m 2 livingspace the Swedish house has two children's bedrooms and a master bedroom, a spacious living/dining area with open kitchen, bathroom and an additional toilet.

Bright, warm colours emphasize the predominantly clean style of the house. This is complemented by a great deal of glazing and windows. For example, the master bedroom with dressing area and generous glazed gable, resembles an intimate studio with access to a covered loggia. In summer, there is a sheltered patio on the ground floor, which is accessed by a sliding door from the living room. A roughly sawn facade is testimony to the traditional origins of the design, while all modern wishes are catered for.
The generous round window  is a neat idea with great impact. The living/dining area is thus given a really welcoming and cheerful touch. For those who love living in a variety of spaces the sliding walls used downstairs will transform the living area easily and on a daily basis. With the sauna in the basement, "Red Edition" receives its final Scandinavian touch.

For the house's energy clever minds have come up with lots of nifty technology solutions. In response to the rising cost of energy, the research department has developed a 37 cm thick "wooden energy wall". It offers the highest energy-saving standards and is one of the most innovative wall systems around. In this residence, families live in a healthy and unique Baufritz environment, with protection levels X and-E - recommended by environmental health specialists. . Families can also look forward to an extremely attractive price-performance ratio.

As a climate protection house it also actively contributes to reducing CO2 emissions and thus to improving our world's climate. This wooden house will save more than 50 tonnes of CO2, a value corresponding to the average CO2 -emissions of a midrange vehicle over 20 years with an annual mileage of 10,000 km.

It is one of the favourite designs on offer by Baufritz.
